Description
I have lowered the price some as I'm in a hurry to sell this. I'm also offering free shipping now. I will not lower the price any further, I'm already bumbed I had to do it this much, this is a special piece of work. Take advantage of this offer while you can. ONE OF A KIND ART PIECE!!!! If this continues not to sell on here (despite having watchers) I may decide to keep it. DISCLAIMER: This is a ONE of a kind piece of fan art, not official Konami merchandise. No mold has been made, just a one time sculpt!I was recently working in a special FX shop (I'M JUST A NOOB BUT GOT TO WORK ON A COUPLE BIG FILMS!! SOOO MUCH FUN!)...*cough* anyways though, lol , things got slow and I've been out of work for a while now. There's also a strike about to happen again which will be keeping most people in the industry out of work for a while. Being in-between jobs and sorta in limbo financially, I've decided to do some freelance art to help get me by until things pick up! Up for auction is a sculpture I just completed of a Bubblehead Nurse based on the design from the video game Silent Hill 2. In my opinion this is the scariest and most bizarre nurse design within the franchise, and I paid close attention to official game art and screencaps as reference. This is NOT a "custom action figure" as I've seen other people list on here and on other sites (no offense to those either, just stating that's not what this is). This is a sculpture I created from the ground up, first creating an armature, then covering and sculpting the entire thing with clay, sculpting the base, THEN painting it by hand. This is a ONE TIME ONLY OFFER, no mold has been made, you are bidding on an original art piece that I spent hours at the art table on. I sculpted this using the most durable clay I know of, so it's unlikely to ever break unless you're real rough with it. I used an oven bake clay called Sculpey Bake and Bend (AKA Superflex). It's a difficult medium to work with, but I prefer it for one of a kind/original pieces because it's not brittle like regular sculpey, this kind actually "bends" before it would ever break! Still, this isn't a toy so be careful anyway. I sculpted the figure separate from the base, the base is a piece of wood that I covered in a thin layer of bake and bend, then textured by hand. I hand painted both the figure and the base using detail brushes and acrylic paints, then firmly attached the figure to the base. The photos really don't do the figure justice. I used a "pearl" color/toned acrylic paint on the skin to make it look sickly and moist, it has a sheen to it that the photos don't show. This also creates a nice contrast to the dull and dirty clothing! This figure is going to be very tough to see go, I'm really happy with how she turned out! I'm starting bidding at $420, which is actually the lowest I can charge for my time...that's actually a very low price for an original art piece. This isn't something you will ever see available again, it's literally the only one on the planet. This is not "rare", it's not something that came from a mold with only a limited number available, THIS IS THE ONLY ONE, PERIOD! If you have any questions, or would like to see more photos (please don't ask unless you're seriously considering buying this), please contact me through the "Ask seller a question" option, and send me your e-mail address. I can then e-mail you with more photos :). Don't let this piece of art pass you by, and goodluck! NO RESERVE!SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!! Payment is expected within 5 days after the auction ends. If you need more time, just contact me explaining your situation and I'll consider it, I totally understand financial hardships. Please ask any/all questions before bidding. No return on this item, I've described it to the best of my ability. I'm a very honest person/seller and I expect the same from the buyer, take a look at our feedback :) ! Thanks for your interest and good luck!
